Western Slope Iron and Supply marks half a century in business with celebration

Western Slope Iron and Supply recently celebrated its 50th anniversary with an open house that brought together customers, contractors, vendors, subcontractors, and trade partners. The celebration was attended by three generations of owners, including founder Jim Over, his son Jeff Over, and current owner David Marsh. Over 100 people attended the event, including representatives from the Grand Junction Area Chamber of Commerce who held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to honor the company’s milestone.

The success of Western Slope Iron and Supply has been attributed to its dedicated employees, loyal customers, and a commitment to treating people well. With 65 employees from Mesa County, the company has become a significant employer in the area.

Western Slope Iron and Supply specializes in steel fabrication and has provided materials for various local projects such as the James Pulsipher Regional Cancer Center at Community Hospital, the new Grand Junction High School, Orchard Mesa Middle School and Lincoln Park Stadium Tower. The company has also worked on projects outside of Colorado such as the expansion of McCarran International Airport (now Harry Reid International Airport) in Las Vegas.

During the celebration, Marsh expressed his gratitude for the company’s success over the years and thanked all those who have contributed to it. He emphasized that their commitment to excellence in steel fabrication and customer service is what sets them apart from other companies in their industry.
