Howard Hanna/Roy Wheeler Realty is donating $10,000 from the Howard Hanna Children’s Free Care Fund to help children and families facing financial needs. Agents in Charlottesville, Zion Crossroads, and Ruckersville raised funds throughout 2023 to contribute to this cause. In addition to financial support, Howard Hanna/Roy Wheeler Realty agents regularly participate in community events at UVA Health Children’s. They visit the children’s hospital every winter to spread holiday cheer and help decorate for the season.

UVA Health Children’s, ranked as the No. 1 children’s hospital in Virginia by U.S. News & World Report, offers primary and specialty care in over 30 specialties across the commonwealth. Located within the UVA Health University Medical Center, UVA Health Children’s includes more than 110 beds, a pediatric emergency department, a Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. The Battle Building houses UVA Health Children’s Ambulatory Clinics, providing integrated outpatient care to families throughout the region since its opening in 2014.

Nine specialties at UVA Health Children’s have been recognized among the best in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. Their ongoing efforts to expand services include a new partnership with Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital to launch the UVA Health Children’s Neurodevelopmental and Behavioral Care clinic in Albemarle County later this year. This clinic will provide specialized care for children with developmental disabilities and behavioral health conditions, further enhancing UVA Health Children’s commitment to delivering exceptional care for all patients and their families facing medical needs.
