Aon Swing 5 and Next 10 golfers confirmed for Wells Fargo Championship

Taylor Pendrith secured his first PGA Tour victory at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson, making it a memorable day for him. Following closely behind, Shane Lowry and Alex Noren finished in second and third place, respectively, at TPC Craig Ranch. Pendrith’s win guarantees him spots in upcoming events such as the Wells Fargo Championship, Memorial Tournament, and Travelers Championship. Lowry and Noren also earned their spots in the Wells Fargo Championship through the Aon Swing 5 system.

The top five players who accumulated the most points from the Corales Puntacana Championship, Zurich Classic, and Nelson were Pendrith, Lowry, Noren, Billy Horschel, and Kevin Tway. Players who have won one of these tournaments qualify through the Swing 5 or Next 10 categories. Chad Ramey narrowly missed out on the top 5, finishing in sixth place.

The Aon Next 10 category saw minimal changes from the previous event. Ludvig Åberg moved into the top 10 after finishing second at Zurich Classic while Matthieu Pavon joined them with his win at Corales Puntacana Championship . Justin Thomas was also included in this category despite not winning any of those events but his strong performance throughout the season earned him a spot. This system allows for a fair and competitive selection of players for upcoming tournaments.
